The official launch of AII is hoped to coincide with the 6th Digital Dealer Conference being held at the Mirage Hotel in Las Vegas from April 19, 2009 to April 21, 2009, however, the exact date has yet to be announced. According to Philip Zelinger, “AII is a collaboration of a group of qualified professionals who will be contributing their knowledge and relationships to this common effort to advance Internet marketing. It is a project that can’t be rushed, and social networking sites are not commercial ventures so we have no reason to do so. Our goal is to share best practices and develop an online community of likeminded automotive advertising professionals and auto dealers who will follow AII to listen and learn so they can presume to teach. Consumers will share their experiences before, during and after their shopping or servicing experience in both the real and the virtual world and all parties will benefit from their input. I will confirm that we are past the developmental stage and we are now focusing on drawing content from a variety of sources. This will be an ongoing effort so, technically, we will never be done! Of course, the 6th Digital Dealer Conference would be a great place and time to start so that is our objective.â€

AdAgencyOnline.Net was introduced by Ad Agency Online, L.L.C., AAOL, during the 2008 NADA Convention as a free automotive advertising resource / networking portal. It is anticipated that auto dealer attendance will be down at the convention based in part on reduced support from the O.E.M.s who are bowing to public pressure to cut expenses forcing the cancellation of several auto dealer meetings and after hour events. Many automotive advertising vendors have also commented that they have cut back on the size of their booths and/or eliminated setting up an exhibit in favor of using hospitality suites at hotels near the convention to reduce expenses.
